In 1989 Baschieri & Pellagri patented the Gordon System, a revolutionary
casing that was, and still is the only real breakthrough in the casing's
manufacture. The Gordon System is what sets B&P above the rest. Using this
casing system, B&P is able to reduce the physiological effects of recoil,
providing a softer cartridge with equal performance. This is because of our
innovative shock absorbing base which not only improves powder combustion,
but also the overall ammunition performance. This circular disc which has a
wedge shape groove around its circumference upon ignition compresses. This
feature alone reduces recoil by a minimum of 10% and as a side benefit
reduces pressures throughout our 12 gauge line.
